MeterWatch Account and Data Deletion

This page applies to the MeterWatch app and services. It explains data collection, account creation methods, and how users can request account deletion or deletion of specific data.

Data Collection and Security

Does MeterWatch collect required user data types? Yes.

Depending on app usage, MeterWatch may collect:

Is user data encrypted in transit? Yes. MeterWatch encrypts data in transit using HTTPS/TLS in production.

Supported Account Creation Methods

MeterWatch supports the following account creation/authentication methods:

Username and password (email + password) OAuth (Google Sign-In)

Request Account Deletion (and Associated Data)

Submit the form below to request deletion of your account and associated personal data.

Alternative method: email [email protected] from the email address linked to your MeterWatch account.

Steps:

  1. Email [email protected] with subject line: MeterWatch Account Deletion Request.
  2. Include your account email and your primary meter number for identity verification.
  3. We verify ownership of the account and confirm your request.
  4. Deletion starts after verification and completion confirmation is sent to your email.

What Is Deleted vs. Retained

Deleted after a verified account deletion request:

May be retained for limited periods:

Standard processing target: within 30 days after identity verification.

Delete Specific Data Without Deleting Your Account

Users can request deletion of some or all personal data while keeping their account active.

Alternative method: email [email protected] with subject line MeterWatch Data Deletion Request.

You can also remove linked meters directly in-app. If data cannot be deleted due to legal or security obligations, we will explain what is retained and for how long.

After submitting a request, use your request code and account email to check status.
